Love this shot for some goofy reason.
when you were up ~9500' at Heavenly, I figured you to be an adrenaline
junkie. BIG waves and adrenaline are a 'natch.
I'm pretty sure you have a shot or more of me surfing around Santa Cruz
when I went to college there. There were half a dozen or more blonde girls
that are locals, we all look pretty much alike, but I can usually tell
who's who in pics. If I can't I go by the suit or board they're on.
There are always photogs up along W.Cliff Dr and by the Lighthouse w/nice lenses!
I'm certain I've seen you. Thought I recognised u at Woodies on the Wharf last
year but I chickened out of talking to you.
Next time I'll stop and meet you properly. .. but no.. old guys don't rule.. nuh-uh!
Surfer girls rule the water and beach.. ask any guy. You dudes get everything else. lol
That probably was me at Woodies last year. I'll be there again this year with cameras in tow.
... and okay... Surfer girls do rule, but old dudes are a close second.
Hwy 17, no median & no lights? are you nuts? j/k.. but
really that sounds crazy enough w/no median. stupid boys (;
It was you..at WotW.. I was kinda 'fuzzy' and didn't want to talk to
anyone.. ya know? hahaha.. anyway I'll catch you this year maybe.
I wanted to see Tony Bennett at the Jazz festival but didn't make it.
I love his 'Duets' CD's with K.D.Lang, McCartney, Bono, et al.
dudes by far. ya got serious stones to still get on a board at Steamers.
That's today... there's around 1500 Vinyl records and almost as many CD's. I lost close to 2000 records in 1974 to a fire. In the late 60's-70's we'd go to Fillmore West every week. Saw everyone from Jimy Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Doors, Who, Marvin Gaye... the list goes on. Had a friend that worked there and he'd get us back stage sometimes. I sat on a couch in the back and drank Southern Comfort and got stoned with Janis and the band. She was a sweetheart. Then I got into Jazz/Fusion... Weather Report, Billy Cobham, Al DiMeola... the list goes on... and then Jazz. But I've always loved a great guitar and I've seen the best... Clapton, Steve Morse, Al DiMeola, Jeff Beck, Marc Antoine... but next week I'm seeing my favorite. Joe Bonamassa. Can't wait. If you're not familiar with him then please watch this amazing artist... [link] ... Like I said... don't get me started on music.
